I’m excited to sing on my home turf tonight with many of my fellow Academy of Vocal Arts alumni. “Voices for Relief” will benefit victims of the recent disaster in the Philippines. This venture was organized by the indefatigable Jeffrey Halili and will be held at First Presbyterian Church. Find out more about the concert and how you can help after the jump.
I’ve just finished my first run of The Magic Flute with some wonderful colleagues in Boston, and you know what that means: time to prepare the next role. Two performances of La traviata are coming up next month, and I have the great fortune of performing the role with my stunning real-life love Corinne Winters. This means we get to prepare together, at least a little. Today, we listened to some excerpts of the brilliant 1958 Callas recording from Lisbon on my whim (best “Alfredo, Alfredo” yet recorded).
